Public consultation on the user requirements

Press release:
Published: 26 February 2008 Deadline: 5 May 2008

On 8 March 2007 the Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) decided to review the Eurosystem’s current collateral management handling procedures, in particular the present correspondent central banking model (CCBM). A medium-term project for the next generation of collateral management has since been launched under the name “Collateral Central Bank Management" (CCBM2).

The Eurosystem is inviting market participants to comment on the draft CCBM2 user requirements published below by 5 May 2008 at the latest. The Eurosystem will then assess the comments received and submit a proposal for the CCBM2 user requirements to the Governing Council.
