PRESS RELEASE

CBISSO (Ireland), CAT (Italy) and LDT (Italy) withdrawn from the list of securities settlement systems eligible for Eurosystem credit operations

28 December 2000

Following a decision of the Governing Council of the ECB, the three securities settlement systems listed below were this month withdrawn from the list of securities settlement systems eligible for Eurosystem credit operations:

  • in Ireland: Central Bank of Ireland Securities Settlement Office (CBISSO);

  • in Italy: Liquidazione dei Titoli (LdT) and Conti Accentrati in Titoli (CAT) .

Whereas CBISSO and CAT have completely ceased operations, LdT is still operating but has been replaced as the securities settlement system eligible for Eurosystem credit operations by the "Express" system of the Italian central securities depository, Monte Titoli.
