Topics
The workshop “Towards a new labour market?” is being organised jointly by the European Central Bank (ECB) and by the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). We welcome both theoretical and empirical contributions. Research topics of particular relevance include the following:
- The impact of digital, green and demographic changes
- New flexibility and job retention schemes
- Working from home and hybrid jobs
- Labour market heterogeneity and monetary policy
- Macro fluctuations and policies with labour market inequality
- Diversity and inclusive working practises

Submissions
Deadline for submission: 22:00 CET on 9 September 2022
Authors are invited to submit their papers by 22:00 CET on Friday 9 September 2022 by email to labour.market.workshop@ecb.europa.eu using the subject line “ECB/CEPR Labour Market Workshop”.
Travel and accommodation expenses of presenters and discussants will be reimbursed in accordance with standard ECB guidelines.
Attending the workshop
The workshop is expected to be in person if circumstances allow for it. Otherwise, the workshop will be organised online. The invitation to attend the workshop is extended to members of EU or international institutions working on topics related to the content of the workshop. Attendants that are neither presenters nor discussants will need to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
